Essential Tips For Commuter Students

Updated: Apr 18, 2018

You might be residing out of campus, or you have the plan to do so this year. You should not think twice because you've made the right decision. As opposed to students who reside on campus, you must be equipped with essential tips as a commuter student. Below are some of the best tips you need to know as a commuter student.

01. Leave early

You have to catch up with the train or bus very early in the morning. You never know when the traffic will be worse, but if you wake up early, and leave your place much earlier, you'll catch up with the truck, and arrive on time on campus. If you have a personal car, be sure to leave your place a bit early too to arrive on time.

02. Join the class groups

You do not want to miss class notification when you are away. This is why I recommend that you join the class groups, and be active in them. It can be on any social media platform. Be it Facebook, Twitter, or even whats-app. Nobody would like to travel a very long distance, only to find that the class had been cancelled. How would you feel when you make it by 7 am on campus only to find out that there is no class that day? Doesn't it feel disgusting, and demoralizing? That's why you have to be part of the class group.

03. Complete your assignments early

You are staying away from campus, and the lecturer gave you homework to be handed in the following day very early in the morning. What do you do, bearing in mind that you might be working part-time? You can join thousands of students who use Preeminent Academic Writers to assist them with their assignments. Did I say that these professionals work on the assignments of any type? Yes, I have just said it. You can use these professionals to check if you did an excellent job on your homework or if you don't know how to go about it. You don't have to miss this superb opportunity ;)

04. Get friendly with your car

You have to get right. Once a commuter, your car will be your best friend, and you must take care of it. Taking care of your car doesn't mean that you have to spend large sums of money to maintain it. What it means is that you have to be responsible, and do the service, as required. Why is this important? It will ensure that you have a roadworthy vehicle and will give you more confidence while on the road. Who wants to ride a car that stops after every 2 kilometers? How can such a person catch up with the morning lecturers- bearing in mind that most lecturers do not want latecomers? You have to get friendly with your car, and you will be in peace at all time.

05. Find the parking lot in advance

Free advice to you ;) If you want to have peace of mind, please secure yourself parking lot in advance. You are probably asking, how? Stroll around, and compare the parking lots you have on the campus. How far are they from your lecture halls? Pick the closest ones, and be sure to arrive on time, and secure them. This will save a lot of your time.

Now that you have these tips, what are you waiting for? Implement them and be the happiest commuter student you've always wished to become. For more great tips like this, join our mailing list, and you will never miss a moment. Success!
